About us
Rheinmetall Nordic AS, formerly Rheinmetall Norway AS, has been an established player in the Nordic region for over half a century, located in Duken near Tønsberg, south of Oslo. The company cooperates closely with the Scandinavian countries and Finland, developing capabilities for existing and future needs of their armed forces.
Rheinmetall Nordic specializes in high-tech products for dismounted soldiers as well as sensor and observation systems, reconnaissance and fire control systems. These range from target acquisition systems, cameras, 40mm fire control system, weapon improvement and weapons mount products to advanced mortar systems. Mortar weapon system 81 mm has successfully been implemented with the Norwegian Armed Forces. A 120mm mortar system is developed and tested.
The company exports to more than twenty countries around the world. Furthermore, Rheinmetall Nordic has a number of licensee’s around the world, most notably American Rheinmetall Systems, LLC, which is a major sub-supplier of Rheinmetall Nordic products for the U.S. Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS).
