The Electronic Solutions division encompasses the entire chain of effects in a secure multidomain system network – A common operational picture is generated using AI-processed sensors, multiple platforms and the (partial) automated connection of effectors. Supplemented by solutions for protection in cyberspace. Other fields of action include extensive training and simulation solutions, in which the company has more than 40 years of experience. Also offering operator solutions for aircraft.
The division is operating within the two clusters Air Defence & Aeronautical and Digital, with its solutions
being grouped into six competence based business units: Air Defence & Radar Systems, Aeronautical Systems, Product & Airborne Solutions, Global Business, Digital Solutions, and Integrated Electronic Systems.
The business unit Air Defence & Radar Systems contributes to anti-access/area denial (A2/AD) and creates conditions for freedom of operation. Rheinmetall’s air defence systems protect ground and sea-based troops against threats from the air, in particular against the increasing threat of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in the context of modern warfare.
