BVB comes from the heart of North Rhine-Westphalia and stands for the pursuit of top performance and international success like hardly any other German club. Rheinmetall is deeply rooted in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region and wants to raise the international profile of its brand as a technology group and attractive employer. The sponsorship will run until 2027 and includes the use of advertising space and marketing rights as well as event and hospitality offers in the stadium and on the club grounds.
Düsseldorfer EG
Rheinmetall is „Premium Partner“ of Düsseldorfer EG
The founding member of the Deutschen Eishockey Liga (DEL), Düsseldorfer EG, and Rheinmetall AG have entered into a partnership for the 2024/25 season. Rheinmetall will be present at home games on under-ice surfaces, on boards and on other advertising spaces. With this commitment, Rheinmetall is emphasising its close ties with the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital.
D.SPORTS
Rheinmetall is an official partner of the sports city of Düsseldorf
The DAX-listed Rheinmetall Group has its roots in the state capital, which also hosts numerous high-calibre sporting events every year. The partnership with D.SPORTS is aimed at supporting these highly publicised major events as well as popular sport for the urban community. It is also, of course, about promoting top-class sport in the city, the athletes and their respective clubs.
Borussia Düsseldorf
Rheinmetall supports German table tennis league team
Rheinmetall is a partner of Germany's most successful table tennis club. Sports legend Timo Boll also played for Borussia Düsseldorf for many years before ending his international career in 2024. Bergischer Handball-Club 06 e.V. (BHC)
Rheinmetall is Premium-Partner of Bergischen Handball-Clubs 06 e.V. (BHC).
The partnership with the handball club BHC is expressed in joint appearances and campaigns. The technology group will be present at BHC's home games with LED perimeter advertising, floor branding and communication measures. The BHC is a joint handball club of the Bergisch cities of Solingen and Wuppertal and is therefore also at home in the Rheinmetall AG site environment.

Rheinmetall AG supports the Formula Student Team Raceyard from Kiel as a "platinum sponsor" and is thus active in the highest sponsorship category. The Raceyard team has been building racing cars since 2005 and competed with its first fully electric vehicle in 2012. The Raceyard team is made up entirely of students and, in addition to building electric racing cars, works on designs for the driverless class, i.e. the class for autonomous vehicles. The student team from Kiel, sponsored by Rheinmetall, was the overall winner of Formula Student Spain in the electric class in 2023. Rheinmetall Landsysteme has a long-standing partnership with Kiel University of Applied Sciences due to its location in Kiel.

Bodensee Racing Team
Rheinmetall also on board the Formula Student University racing team from Constance
From Rheinmetall's point of view, Formula Student offers the perfect combination of promoting young talent, competition and creative engineering. This is why the technology group also sponsors the Bodensee Racing Team from Constance: a team consisting of over 60 students who are passionate about their work. To ensure success, the team consists not only of technicians, but also of functions that are not directly related to the vehicle, such as sponsorship or finance and controlling.

Rheinmetall is aware of its historical responsibility towards Israel and is fully committed to the Jewish state's right to exist. As the company also maintains relations with Arab states, Rheinmetall particularly welcomes the Institute's dialogue-oriented approach.
Historical research, remembrance and coming to terms with National Socialism
Rheinmetall acknowledges its responsibility
As a German defence company, we see ourselves as having a special responsibility to contribute to the culture of remembrance and commemoration in the context of the Second World War. We have analysed and documented our role and our misconduct during the Nazi era. The resulting historical documents on the subject of forced labour are available to researchers and interested parties in the Düsseldorf City Archive and Rheinmetall's central archive. In the course of these reappraisal projects, various memorials were also created not far from the Rheinmetall headquarters in the Düsseldorf districts of Derendorf and Grafenberg to commemorate the Nazi injustice. A memorial was also erected at the Unterlüß production site to raise awareness of the inhumane living conditions of Nazi forced labourers.
Furthermore, in cooperation with the Düsseldorf memorial site, we were able to enable former forced labourers from Poland to visit the former Rheinmetall-Borsig AG factory site.

Other Bundeswehr institutions that work with the disabled can also receive funding. Measures by the "Network of Help" or the Invictus Games organisations can also be supported. The Rheinmetall site in Düsseldorf obtains the coffee beans for the fully automatic coffee machines at the company headquarters from the Pape family, whose relatives are also involved in other social projects. YOU Stiftung
Rheinmetall donation for humanitarian emergency aid in Israel and Gaza
Rheinmetall has donated 10,000 euros to the YOU Foundation.
Following the brutal attack on Israel by the terrorist Hamas, this emergency aid program provided hot meals to resettled children from the border areas. This helped to safeguard their health. It brought some stability to everyday life in the temporary shelters. Thanks to the financial support, over 2,000 hot meals were distributed to children. Many of them have been separated from their families or are grieving. The donation made it possible to provide nutritious and healthy meals in the midst of war. Children in Gaza were also supported with this humanitarian emergency aid until the end of April 2024 - food for over 1,000 starving children and orphans was distributed.

To protect biodiversity, Rheinmetall has entered into a bee sponsorship programme: A total of six bee colonies have moved into the Rheinmetall site in Kassel. The project was realised in cooperation with the beekeepers of Craftbee, a local start-up company.

Overcoming the consequences of war
Rebuilding medical infrastructure
In February 2024, Rheinmetall made a donation of over €100,000 to the Kiev-based foundation of the wife of the Ukrainian president. The Olena Selenska Foundation is using this donation to support the reconstruction of a hospital in the war-torn country. The hospital in question was largely destroyed by the Russian attack. It is of great importance for the medical care of people in the surrounding region. In the meantime, for example, the rehabilitation department has been successfully rebuilt and equipped with the latest medical equipment. In the region, this will primarily benefit patients who have suffered mine and explosive injuries as a result of the Russian attack on Ukraine.
Schoolbags for children in Czernowitz
Rheinmetall donates to schoolchildren in eastern Ukraine
The Düsseldorf-based Rheinmetall Group has supported children of refugee families in Chernivtsi in western Ukraine with a donation totalling 20,000 euros. The project partner is the Blau-Gelbe Kreuz / Deutsch-Ukrainischer Verein e.V. The donation was used to purchase satchels for the start of school. With this campaign, Rheinmetall AG wants to make a contribution to the education and well-being of the traumatised young generation in the region, as many families who fled the war in the east of the country had to build a completely new existence in Chernivtsi.
