WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Selection of suitable, efficient suppliers in collaboration with the operating departments involved
- Evaluate offers based on the specification
- Conducting of contract- and price negotiations as well as annual price negotiations
- Negotiation and conclusion of long-term supply- and maintenance agreements
- Clarification of the queries of suppliers and users concerning subject matters of supply, prices, delivery time, etc.
- Supplier management (maintenance of contact, price negotiations, reductions in the number of suppliers)
- Conducting of regular market analyses and/or benchmarks
- Creating and reviewing of contracts and agreements, with support of legal department
- Transfer Purchase Requisitions (BANF) into Purchase Orders
- Check incoming order confirmations, if they are accordant with the Purchase Order and to clarify differences with the relevant parties.
- File purchasing acts if possible electronically in the ERP-System (e. copy of the signed specifications, signed Purchase Order, Order Confirmation
- Track NPM performance based on global and local KPIs
- Further responsibilities and processes according to and as outlined the group’s Purchasing & NPM Manual
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- 5 years experience automotive NPM - commodity purchasing
- Excellent commercial negotiation and escalation skills
- Ability to read technical prints and specifications
- Knowledge of supply chain management concepts (e.g. Incoterms, Lead Times, Consignment)
- Experience in international business etiquette
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and profound SAP R/3 knowledge
- Team player with ability to learn self-determined
- Ability to function under pressure and quickly changing priorities
- Occasionally domestic and international travel
