Rheinmetall Canada is currently looking for a project planner and control officer (PCO). The candidate will collaborate to the successful projects executions, under the supervision of the manager, Project Management Office (PMO). The job incumbent will work in close collaboration with the project managers and internal stakeholders from various departments. Prime responsibilities will be oriented toward updating projects schedules, monthly KPIs, labor and cost controlling reports for large engineering projects. This person will be responsible to control projects from the bid phase until project closure, continuously analyzing KPIs, project schedule, costs and labor budgets, risks and opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop project schedule by optimizing activities sequencing to facilitate project execution.
- Create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to ease project controlling.
- Plan project resource loading based on schedule and company capacity.
- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI) based on Earned Value Analysis (EVA) and Critical Path Method (CPM).
- Prepare progress reports, dashboards, cashflow and provide recommendations regarding labor/cost consumption and forecasts compared to initial budget.
- Extract and analyse information from large databases in order to generate simplified visual reports, providing intuitive variations analysis to the project team and/or executive committee.
- As a member of the PMO team, the candidate will remain a guardian of the project management methodologies, providing tools, templates and sharing known good practices from project management office.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or any combination of relevant education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with a minimum of one planning software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Proficiency with a MS Excel.
- Comfortable working in a French-speaking environment and able to understand technical and contractual documentation in English.*

Assets
- Proficiency with SAP ERP Systems and with data analysis tool Microsoft Power BI.
- PMP certification or equivalent.
