Rheinmetall Canada is currently looking for an Industrial and Technological Benefits Administrator who will have the responsibility to develop strategies and provide services pertaining to the company’s industrial and technological benefits obligations. Reporting to the Director, Finance and Strategic Planning, the incumbent will work closely with key stakeholders from various business sectors, the head office, as well as government agencies. As part of his leadership role, he will play a key role at Rheinmetall Canada by writing valuable proposals and by contributing to the selection and negotiation of supplier contracts while making sure that the company’s obligations are met.
The person occupying this position may be located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu or Ottawa.
Responsibilities
- Manage the industrial and technological benefits portfolio of the company.
- Develop a strategic plan for each project, manage obligations, including following up on opportunities, risks, and execution for each project, and report to senior management.
- Work closely with subcontract administrators and internal customers for the selection of suppliers and contractual negotiations to ensure maximum industrial and technological benefits.
- Write valuable proposals based on the analyses, competition assessments, and defined strategy.
- Make sure that the necessary actions are documented to demonstrate the ITB eligibility criteria.
- Ensure a close cooperation with ISED (Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada) and the head office and produce various reports for them.
- Be the point of contact, inform, and answer questions from various internal clients regarding the government industrial benefits policy.
- Develop a training program on the industrial benefits policy for new employees, as well as annual and periodic training for all employees.
Requirements
- Hold a degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the industrial and technological benefits field.
- Be fluent in French and English (both written and spoken).
- Have an excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- Have excellent written and spoken communication (written and spoken) and negotiation skills, and have the ability to read and understand contractual documents.
- Have an excellent knowledge of business, accounting, and financial models.
- Be able to work independently and show dynamism, leadership, and have great influence and persuasion skills.
- Pay close attention to details, be organized and strategic, have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to manage pressure and priorities while remaining rigorous.
Assets
- Experience in procurement and/or contract management.
- Knowledge of SAP.
