Intensive and comprehensive research and development activities strengthen our market positions and secure the Rheinmetall Group's technological competitive edge. They are a significant factor in the success of the company.
In 2022, €351 million was spent on research and development throughout the Group and 4,593 employees had been working in R&D.

Rheinmetall employees use their process-specific knowledge, their experience and their creativity and submit suggestions to improve economic viability, work procedures and process engineering processes via management systems or via the employee suggestion scheme.
