HX as system carrier

HX as system carrier

The platform for logistical and tactical deployment scenarios

Versatility and mobility play a decisive role in modern conflicts. Rheinmetall's HX embodies this idea: a platform for logistical and tactical deployment scenarios that meets modern requirements for flexibility, efficiency and reliability.

HX Recovery Vehicle

Maintaining strength

When adverse climatic conditions or contact with the enemy takes its toll, the HX recovery vehicle is at the ready. With its powerful drivetrain, combined with the powerful hydraulic winch, crane and recovery aids, the HX recovery vehicle is engineered to master any recovery scenario. In the 6x6, 8x8 or 10x10 configurations, the HX recovery vehicle is at the forefront of maintaining operational capability.

HX as system carrier – Recovery vehicle

Key characteristics

  • Maximum mobility and reliability thanks to 6x6, 8x8 or 10x10 HX chassis, whether on public roads or in difficult terrain
  • Meets the most demanding European standards (e.g. EN12999) in terms of lifting and towing equipment
  • Sophisticated winch system to cope with the most complex recovery scenarios while complying with the highest safety standards
  • Pulling capacity of the main winch up to 25 tons
  • Underlift capacity up to 15 tons with 8x8 and 10x10 HX chassis
  • Rotator with 360° working range and the ability to load a 17-ton ISO container
  • Possibility of integrating an articulated crane (6x6 HX chassis)
  • Numerous innovative stowage options on the vehicle for recovery, lifting and rescue equipment
HX Bridge Layer

Paving the way

When access to the target area is denied to vehicles, the HX bridge layer creates ways to achieve mission success: whether for crossing small rivers or wide trenches, the task of the HX bridge layer begins where other vehicles reach their limits. Equipped with the Anaconda bridge laying system, Rheinmetall's HX bridge layer is a highly mobile, modern platform that reliably paves the way to the objective for joint units.

HX as system carrier – Bridge layer

Key characteristics

  • Maximum mobility and reliability thanks to 8x8 HX chassis, whether on public roads or in difficult terrain
  • MLC 80+ bridge module: Crossable for all NATO main battle tanks
  • Bridge length 1 x 22 m or 2 x 12 m, bridge width 4 m
  • Automated deployment of the bridge in less than 5 min
  • Bridge module can be crossed at speeds of up to 90 km/h
  • More cost-efficient than systems on tracked vehicles
HX Excavator

Military Multi-Tool

Pioneers are one of the most important pillars of combat support. Whether it is building or overcoming trenches, paths or fences, their work can be crucial to success. The HX excavator vehicle embodies Rheinmetall's many years of experience in the field of pioneering: maximum mobility, flexibility and reliability guarantee optimal support for the pioneers in their mission success.

HX as system carrier – Excavator

Key characteristics

  • Maximum mobility and reliability thanks to 8x8 HX chassis, whether on public roads or in difficult terrain
  • Option of a protected cab for optimum protection against ballistic, mine and IED threats
  • Extendable telescopic arm, can be swiveled 360 degrees
  • Up to 7.5 tons lifting capacity
  • Maximum flexibility thanks to attachment options – from bucket and hook to hydraulic rotary tillers
HX ALHS

Automated Load Handling System

The reliable supply of troops is essential at all times. The traditional loading and unloading of containers, flatracks or modules from military logistics vehicles requires a high level of manpower and exposes the crew to a potentially dangerous environment. The Automated Load Handling System "ALHS" from Rheinmetall and Supashock enables a computerized loading and unloading process. A single crew member operates the process from the safety of the cabin. Faster, safer, more reliable: a real logistics revolution.

HX as system carrier – ALHS Automated Load Handling System

Key characteristics

  • Increased protection for the crew by operating from the cabin
  • Only one crew member required for operation
  • Load can also be picked up in rough terrain, regardless of contamination of the lower corner fittings by sand, mud or similar
  • Faster loading and unloading process compared to manual operation
  • Versatile use: loading and unloading of ISO containers, flatracks and modules
