Ref. no.:  DE13696

Anstellungsart:  Vollzeit

Vertragsart:  Unbefristeter Vertrag

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To achieve our goals, we look for thinkers who want to leave the beaten track and set new standards for the entire industry. We therefore promote a customer and product-centric mindset that focuses on satisfying core needs with unparalleled speed and accuracy

If this sounds appealing to you, we probably already share common values and you could be just the champion we are looking for to lead our engineering teams with a systems engineering perspective.

Your Tasks:

  • From customer/product centric perspective, derive a robust, inexpensive and scalable multi-system setup to suffice the needs of customers along time-to-launch, quality and cost in the domains of reconnaissance, communication and space defense:
    • Incorporate existing systems, such as ICEYE
    • Leverage 3rd party products
    • Include non-spacecraft sensorics (e.g., aerial/drones, ground and model based data)
  • Act as first among peers to roll out development scheme and scale development teams where applicable (e.g., software, hardware, AI, data)
  • Derive early PoC's and demonstrators, yielding a scalable MVP
  • Evaluate and discuss customer requirements, and in consequence derive an approach to systems incl. roadmaps, development, testing, verification and lifecycle maintenance approaches
  • Communicate and discuss product/PoC's with customer
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
  • 10+ years as full systems & stack engineer for low-earth orbit (LEO) spacecraft
  • Customer and product centric entrepreneur mindset, esp. along parameters such as time to launch/operability, quality and cost
  • Determined to venture on new cutting edge and disruptive development paradigms
  • In-depth skilled in systems engineering related to LEO spacecraft and adjacent systems
  • Profound knowledge in LEO spacecraft orbit constellations and their impact onto products, especially with regard to impact on timeliness and quality of costumer product
    • Incl. Multi-system setups consisting of space, aerial, ground products (in-house and 3rd party combinations)
  • Preferably good knowledge about defense customer needs in the CIS/CIR space domain, incl. derivatives such as data/cyber security and other standards
  • Excellent knowledge about data fusion and manipulation techniques, e.g.,
    • Kálmán, markov, other
    • Data processing AI techniques (e.g., xNN, CNN, RNN, etc.) from visual and SAR imagery and other sources
    • Potentially: data reconstruction techniques (Sync, Lanczos, Gaussian)
  • Profound knowledge of overall LEO spacecraft design and payloads, including development paradigms in following aspects (non-exhaustive):
    • µP/µC and data handling (e.g., BUS)
    • Power management systems
    • AOCS/ Spacecraft navigation systems
    • Earth observation sensors (e.g., SAR,
    • Telemetry and command systems (Up-/Downlink antennas, etc.)
  • Rudimentary knowledge in the working mechanisms of SOC/ground control, weather effects, radio frequencies

You don't meet all the requirements, but you are keen to really make a difference and take on responsibility? Then we look forward to meeting you!

WHAT WE OFFER YOU
  • The opportunity to build a new business unit (start-up) within a financially strong and fast-growing group
  • Collaboration in the digital revolution of the security, armaments and defense industry
  • An attractive, innovative environment and professional and personal development
