Cyber Security Accreditation Specialist

About the Team

You will be an integral member of the Electronic Solutions team. The Software Simulation and Training team is focused on delivering simulation and training systems in support of military vehicle modernisation programs. This position can be based from the Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence site located in Redbank, QLD.

About the Role

The Cyber Security Accreditation Specialist is responsible for achieving security accreditation in accordance with Australian Defence standards and processes. As part of your role you will develop the required security documentation, perform threat risk assessments and define the necessary treatment and mitigation controls. You will work in an engineering team with a security mindset and provide guidance for security related topics. Your role includes the communication and negotiation with all relevant security stakeholders.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes: 

• Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent;
• Relevant professional experience in Cyber Security ideally in defence environments;
• Relevant experience with security governance;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Willingness and ability to travel interstate and internationally when required; and
• Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance – NV1 (Australian Citizenship required).
