About the Role

This role is a 12-month fixed term contract position and provides an opportunity for the right candidate to join the RDA finance team within an exciting and rapidly expanding business.

Treasury at Rheinmetall is centrally coordinated by the global treasury team in Dusseldorf. Within this framework, the Treasury Accountant will manage and support treasury operations/controls, including banking relationships, maintaining bank guarantees, and hedging and forex accounting. The candidate will interface between the RDA finance team and the Rheinmetall AG treasury team, playing a critical role in regional defence projects.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes: 

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance/ Accounting/ Commerce or related disciplines;
• Demonstrable corporate treasury experience in a similar role or position;
• Experience in handling foreign currency transactions/hedging;
• Sound knowledge of treasury accounting and foreign currency accounting (IFRS 9 requirements);
• Basic knowledge of trade finance solutions;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Advanced MS Office skills i.e. Excel, PowerPoint;
• Ability to travel interstate and globally when required; and
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
