WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The BOXER 8x8 is the leading armoured vehicle with a multi-national user background that has been developed in a joint co-operation programme between Germany and the Netherlands by the international consortium ARTEC GmbH in Munich, Germany. ARTEC is a joint-venture of KNDS Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH and Rheinmetall Defence Nederland B.V. It is the prime contractor responsible for the BOXER Programme, the co-ordination of series production and the focal point for export opportunities. Annual sales are normally between 200 and 300 million EUR and as of June 2024 more than 1,300 BOXER vehicles have been contracted. Further large-scale projects are in the pipeline.

In the role of In-Service Support Engineer for the BOXER program you are responsible to support international costumers and the representative agency, NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), during the In-Service support phase of the leading multi-national 8x8 military armoured vehicle. 

Parts of the BOXER of ISS Project Engineer role:

  • Preparation, execution and completion of follow-up for meetings with prime contractors and customers within the scope In-Service Support phase
  • Attending and supporting regularly held customer meetings (Multinational Configuration Control Board, Logistic Control Board etc.)
  • Monitoring and tracking the engineering and logistical change proposals and other deliveries under the continuous service
  • Supporting in the preparation of periodic reports (quarterly progress reports, risk reports etc.) and the offer preparation process for the service on request from the customer 
  • Coordination of ARTEC`s main subcontractors
  • Ensuring coordination between the departments of ARTEC that have responsibilities within the scope of In-Service Support phase
  • Continuous improvement of processes and monitoring of KPIs
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
  • Bachelor’s degree engineer, technician or comparable qualification
  • First experience in customer support and/or with the NSPA is advantageous
  • Experience in contract management is advantageous
  • Basic understanding of ILS sub-disciplines and their interaction with each other
  • Basic understanding of Configuration Management process
  • Business fluent in English written and spoken
  • Ability to quickly understand and facilitate complex technical relations
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
