The BOXER 8x8 is the leading armoured vehicle with a multi-national user background that has been developed in a joint co-operation programme between Germany and the Netherlands by the international consortium ARTEC GmbH in Munich, Germany. ARTEC is a joint-venture of KNDS Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH and Rheinmetall Defence Nederland B.V. It is the prime contractor responsible for the BOXER Programme, the co-ordination of series production and the focal point for export opportunities. Annual sales are normally between 200 and 300 million EUR and as of June 2024 more than 1,300 BOXER vehicles have been contracted. Further large-scale projects are in the pipeline.
In the role of ILS Project Engineer/ LDP-Specialist for BOXER you are responsible for all matters regarding the Logistic Data Package (LDP) of the leading multi-national 8x8 military armoured vehicle programme. At the industry consortium ARTEC, all technical and cross-discipline activities are focused on making a good product even better to protect the future and security of Europe and Worldwide.
Parts of the BOXER of ILS Project Engineer/ LDP-Specialist role:
- Being the point of contact for all matters regarding BOXER’s Logistic Data
- Coordination and maintenance of Logistic Change Proposals (LCPs)
- Processing LCPs in the ARTEC Product Lifecycle Management system (APLM)
- Coordination of ARTEC`s Main Subcontractors
- Host and chair review meetings with ARTEC’s customers, also represented by the international agencies
- Monitoring and reporting of progress
- Coordinate activities throughout ARTEC’s internal disciplines
- Administration of ARTEC’s LSA Database
- Be responsible for time, cost and quality of LDP activities of BOXER programme
- Continuous improvement of processes and monitoring of KPIs
- Supporting the logistic configuration process
- Tracking the implementation of LCPs in deliverables
- Bachelor degree, engineer, technician or comparable qualification
- Experience in customer support and/or the defence area, preferable armoured vehicle manufacturer
- Good understanding of ILS sub-disciplines and their interaction with each other
- Experience in one of the logistics main disciplines (logistics support analysis, materiel management or technical publication)
- Experience in LSA according to MIL-STD-1388 and Technical Documentation according to S1000D preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to be the process owner and lead process stakeholders
- Ability to quickly understand and facilitate complex technical relations
- Hands on mentality
- Business fluent in English written and spoken
- Strong scheduling/ planning skills
