The BOXER 8x8 is the leading armoured vehicle with a multi-national user background that has been developed in a joint co-operation programme between Germany and the Netherlands by the international consortium ARTEC GmbH in Munich, Germany. ARTEC is a joint-venture of KNDS Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH and Rheinmetall Defence Nederland B.V. It is the prime contractor responsible for the BOXER Programme, the co-ordination of series production and the focal point for export opportunities. Annual sales are normally between 200 and 300 million EUR and as of February 2025 more than 1,300 BOXER vehicles have been contracted. Further large-scale projects are in the pipeline.
In the role of ILS Project Engineer/LSA-Specialist for BOXER you are responsible for all matters regarding the Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) of the leading multi-national 8x8 military armoured vehicle programme. At the industry consortium ARTEC, all technical and cross-discipline activities are focused on making a good product even better to protect the future and security of Europe and Worldwide.
Parts of the ILS Project Engineer/LSA-Specialist role:
- Being the point of contact for all matters regarding BOXER’s LSA
- Support of Logistic Change Proposals (LCPs) within ARTEC’s PLM system
- Host and support review meetings with ARTEC’s customers, also represented by the international agencies
- Monitoring and coordination of ARTEC`s Main Subcontractors
- Administration of ARTEC’s LSA Database and data deliveries
- Be responsible for time and quality of LSA activities of BOXER programme
- Continuous improvement of processes and monitoring of KPIs
- Tracking the implementation of LCPs in LSA deliverables
- Authoring of project plans such as LSA-Plan and LSA input instructions
- Bachelor degree, engineer, technician or comparable qualification
- Experience in the defence area, preferable armoured vehicle manufacturer
- Experience in LSA according to MIL-STD-1388 mandatory
- Basic understanding of Material Management according to S2000M preferred
- Good understanding of ILS sub-disciplines and their interaction with each other
- Good understanding of Technical Documentation according to S1000D preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Hands on mentality to facilitate complex technical relations
- Business fluent in English written and spoken
- Strong scheduling/ planning skills
- Strong database knowledge (SQL, XQuery) preferred
