Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH develops various military land vehicles with tracked and wheeled drives. In light of increasing digitalization and the associated increase in data volumes, the vehicle architectures used to date are to be reconsidered. A particular challenge here is the separation of open and secret data in the vehicle.
As part of the advance development, the EDS department is looking for a system architect (m/f/d) for electrics/electronics. Advance development bridges the gap between the research and technology and series development departments.
Your tasks:
- Conducting concept studies on electrics/electronics architectures for future vehicles (e.g. zonal, domain, central)
- Modeling the architectures in a suitable tool for simulating network or bus loads
- Developing a diagnostic concept
- Specifying requirements for series development
- Supervising and coordinating subcontractors
- Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, computer science or comparable
- Experience in the development of electronic systems, preferably in the field of motor vehicles, commercial vehicles
- Experience with common standard protocols of the automotive industry, e.g. CAN/-open, XCP, Automotive Ethernet and UDS
- Experience in the field of diagnostics
- Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Basic knowledge of systems engineering methods and tools, such as requirements management or SysML
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 desirable
- A structured, independent way of working and strong teamwork skills
- Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to take on occasional business trips
