• Perform system-level analysis to specify subsystem requirements for the internal development team and subcontractors
  • Perform system-level trade-offs to determine the optimal architecture within the system design constraints for the vehicle
  • Develop interface specifications between hull, turret, electrical, electronics, weapons, sensors and survivability subsystems
  • Plan, specify, execute and report turret level testing for performance and safety
  • Applied, working knowledge of the mechanical and logical interfaces of the turret subsystem into the broader system design
  • Lead a team of engineers and designers including subject matter experts in FEA, operating environment, EMC, human factors, safety, environmental and regulatory
  • Assume responsibility for overall turret performance and ensure key performance requirements (PHit, protection, DRI) are met through analysis and testing
  • Plan and implement a turret development program, including identifying key risks, issues, and developing remedies, as well as managing budgets and schedules, leading milestone reviews, and conducting regular internal and customer workgroups




  • Successfully completed studies in the field of engineering
  • 10 - 15 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, lethality, survivability as well as weapons and sighting systems
  • Specific technical expertise in turret systems development across the lethality performance chain
  • Ability to use requirements management software (DOORS)
  • Previous experience in the defense industry delivering complex platforms/systems is a benefit
  • Aptitude for government security clearance and ability to meet the requirements of the recruitment survey
  • Fluent in both written and spoken German and English
