WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

  • Responsible contact person for project related purchasing in the cross-functional production, development and manufacturing process until the end of series production
  • Collaboration in the development of the purchasing strategy for the respective project in cooperation with the interface functions, under consideration of customer requirements
  • Creation of a project plan to control relevant milestones of purchasing in the development and supplier selection process
  • Ensuring supplier-dependent specifications for tenders
  • Support the strategic purchasing with needed project information
  • Support of the creation of calculations for new projects, determination of target costs at the assembly level and cost monitoring of all purchased components
  • Ensuring the timely and optimal procurement of prototypes and series including the relevant contract components in coordination and cooperation with the commodity purchasing department
  • Status reports (costs, material availability, project framework data)
  • Close Cooperation with Engineering Teams in Germany (UK and Australia) and with other functional and specialist departments (Project, Purchasing, Quality, Production, etc.)

 

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

 

  • Completed degree in engineering or industrial engineering and management of completed, technical/commercial apprenticeship or training with appropriate work experience
  • 5 years Experience in project purchasing of an industrial company (organisation with project management process)
  • Solid project management skills and good technical knowledge
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
  • Independent, responsible and goal-oriented working style, analytical ability
  • Background in Heavy Machines-, Automotive- or similar industry sectors would be beneficial
  • Willingness to travel
