• Planning, operation and configuration of security solutions to monitor security and detect security incidents and vulnerabilities
  • Management of vulnerabilities, security events and security incidents (including analysis, response, reporting)
  • Creation and configuration of parameters and rules to monitor and enforce security measures within the security tool landscape (e.g. SIEM, vulnerability management, Endpoint Security, Firewall, Proxy)
  • Control of service providers to maintain and improve the agreed IT security services
  • Derivation and tracking of measures to improve safety
  • Creation of security reports and security analyses
  • Coordination and implementation of communication within the IT organization and with the contact persons of the departments in all questions concerning security incidents and external threats
  • Continuous further development of IT security standards, architectures and processes taking into account current technology standards and developments
  • Active exchange of information with the various security units, including the SOC Team

Alternatively, the position may be exercised at another national Rheinmetall locations.


  • Successfully completed studies in computer science, IT security or equivalent professional experience
  • At least 3 years relevant professional experience in the IT security environment e.g. CERT, SOC
  • Experience and knowledge of the tools and processes for handling IT security incidents
  • Technical and methodical knowledge in handling IT security tools such as SIEM, firewall, proxy
  • Certification in the IT security area: TISP, CISSP, GIAC, CEH or others
  • Experience with relevant regulations and standards in the field of IT security (e.g. ISO27001, BSI IT Grundschutz, OWASP, NIST, CIS Controls)
  • Fluency in English (both writting and speaking) and good German skills
  • Ability to work in a team and communication skills
  • Analytical, conceptual and flexible working methods
