• Development of sophisticated hardware assemblies and complete subsystems (sensors)
  • Analysis of the requirements for the corresponding assemblies and development of the corresponding hardware architecture
  • Technology selection and development of corresponding sensor concepts
  • Development of analog and digital circuits
  • Construction and testing of the corresponding assemblies
  • Preparation of production documents
  • Documentation accompanying the development incl. preparation of test plans and test specifications
  • Interface coordination with adjacent areas (software, mechanics)
  • Coordination with external Partners
  • Occasional business trips


  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Communications Engineering, Physics or Computer Engineering
  • Several years of experience in the field of hardware development of electronic circuits/devices
  • Well-founded experience in the field of high-frequency and microwave sensors and/or in the field of physical optics and electro-optical sensors
  • Sound knowledge in the development of complex analog and digital circuits
  • Experience in the interaction of hardware and software
  • Experience in handling development tools for circuit and printed circuit board development (e.g. Altium-Designer)
  • Knowledge of microprocessor, FPGA/CPLD technology
  • Experience in the application of the hardware description language VHDL
  • Knowledge with regard to an EMC-compliant circuit design
  • Experience in circuit development with consideration of functional safety (e.g. EN 61508)
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken German
