System Engineer LYNX Variants (m/f/d)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Management and development of a variant (Driver Trainer) of the LYNX vehicle
  • Carrying out analyses at system level and specifying requirements at subsystem level, taking into account the overall system design
  • Technical consideration of requirements at system level to achieve the optimum system architecture
  • Ensuring maximum functional and physical commonality at assembly and component level
  • Defining work packages together with internal and external delivery teams
  • Support in the planning and execution of verification and validation activities
  • Responsibility for the coordination of customer reviews and internal working groups, their actions and results
  • Control the overall budget for space, mass (weight), electrical power and other key system budgets
  • Analyze, evaluate and manage the implementation of all technical changes, including in support of claim management
  • Cross-functional validation with CAE, environmental requirements, EMC, human factors and safety (IEC 61508) experts
  • Support and assistance in planning, controlling and reporting of time, costs, quality and risk management
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
  • Completed (technical) university degree in the field of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, vehicle construction, aerospace or comparable
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of systems engineering and initial knowledge of project management
  • Experience with driving school vehicles desirable
  • Military background an advantage
  • Knowledge of INCOSE/GfSE procedures and methods or a comparable systems engineering approach desirable
  • Industry knowledge from the defense, automotive or aerospace industry is an advantage
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Independent and structured way of working
  • High degree of initiative and flexibility
  • Willingness to undertake occasional business trips (national/international)
