About the Team
As a Senior Production Scheduler, you will be part of the broader planning and control team reporting Director of Operations Planning and Control. In addition, you will supervise a dedicated team of Production Planners located onsite near the production line.
About the Role
The Senior Production Scheduler is responsible for all Production Planning, Scheduling & Control processes and deliverables required to produce the current and future manufacturing programs at the MILVEHCOE site.
The Senior Production Scheduler will functionally lead the Planning & Control team in developing and maintaining the relevant Production Planning processes to manage and report on Production Schedules and achievement for all current vehicle production programs.
As Senior Production Scheduler, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
- Lead, mentor and develop the Production Planning & Control team;
- Lead the development and management of the overall production schedule;
- Lead the continuous improvement of all Production Planning & Control processes;
- Lead the development of standardised production scheduling and material availability status reports;
- Manage the creation and issue of all required vehicle and component production orders in SAP;
- Manage the generation of all production order related documentation E.g. drawing sets;
- Manage sub contracted manufacturing tasks to schedule;
- Develop and manage build status reports for production order completion;
- Support the Delivery Documentation requirements;
- Support the material management function; and
- Ensure compliance with RDA’s Health, Safety & Environment Policy requirements.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, STEM or relevant discipline;
- 5 years + experience in a similar production planning leadership role within a complex program / vehicle production environment or other high-volume manufacturing environment;
- Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing planning and scheduling process improvements;
- Experience using Open Plan Professional (OPP) or similar scheduling tool
- Production ERP system experience - SAP preferred;
- Practical hands-on approach with good mechanical aptitude E.g. the ability to understand the vehicle assembly process;
- Advanced MS Office Applications;
- Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required; and
- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
